Padim Ciço
Oratory.
The Padim Ciço Oratory, an exclusive piece carved in teak, created as a tribute to Padre Cícero — an icon of northeastern Brazilian culture, widely recognised as one of the 100 greatest Brazilians of all time by the BBC.
Layer by layer,
into a volume.
The teak frames are glued one on top of another, with space between them, and held in clamps until they form the ribs of the volume.
Each piece is sanded by hand at the workbench until the rounded corners flow continuously.
With the ribs joined, the oratory takes shape: the chapel in natural teak, with the cut-out cross at the back, before finishing.

Stable, moisture-resistant and golden in tone. Cut from a panel and worked into overlapping ribs, it gives the oratory lightness and presence on the wall.

The overlapping ribs draw the silhouette of a chapel; at the back, the cut-out cross lets light pass through the piece.
