Amelí Bed.
A double bed in solid roxinho, built from a design by Eduardo Glycerio Arquitetos — a headboard of turned spindles, rounded corners and tapered legs.
From drawing
to roxinho.
The frame corners are glued and rounded, creating the continuous outline that wraps around the slats.
The headboard spindles are fitted one by one into the rail, still unfinished, before final assembly.
Tenons and mortises are cut and fitted by hand, piece by piece, to join the roxinho frame.
Roxinho, throughout
the piece.
Dense and strong, one of the most intensely coloured Brazilian woods. In this bed it is used throughout — and, with time and light, its violet tone deepens.

is signed.
Engraved into the wood, the studio's mark records the piece: where it was made, when, and from which design.
The side rail curves without a break and flows into the tapered leg that lifts the bed off the floor.
On the roxinho rail, the assembly holes are drilled with precision — knots and grain are left visible as part of the piece.

to headboard.
A bed made entirely of solid roxinho: a frame with rounded corners, tapered legs and a spindle headboard that lets air and light through. The design by Eduardo Glycerio Arquitetos took shape on the Estúdio um+um workbench.
